So G-anime is already over
Even though I went alone this time, I met someone on the bus and we ended up becoming friends and spending most of the weekend together.
We got there at around noon and tried our best to dress up quickly. I was cosplaying Jack Frost on Friday. I was expecting at least 5 others like me... but no I was all alone D: I was the only Jack Frost on Friday, and we were only 2 in the whole weekend of the convention! I won't complain about it though! I was asked for pictures and hugs quite often and it was a great feeling! It was my first time actually being noticed by people at a convention
My friend attended the Noiz concert on Friday night so I went to a few panels I wanted to see while waiting for her. The dealers room wasn't open on Friday so we just ended up wandering around a bit and taking pictures of the other cosplayers.
On Saturday, things were a bit more complicated. I was cosplaying Rin Okumura and pants were too tight because of the tail and the button ended up popping out. I had to sew it back on, and the second time it popped out my friend helped me so it was able to hold until the end of the day. So we ended up showing up a bit later than what we wanted. I missed the autograph session with Pinku project... but I went to their graduation concert afterwards and it was really awesome. It was happy and sad at the same time but I think everyone really had a great time. We didn't go to the mascarade and went to a panel instead. I didn't want to sit another 3 hours in those pants to see the mascarade since I had just come out of the concert! I went to take a picture with Pinku Project but I didn't feel very 'cute' in my Rin cosplay so I was feeling awkward. English isn't my mother tongue so I was kinda nervous and only said 'thank you' to them. Berri wanted to see my elf ears but for no reason I felt like I needed to hug her (she was crying at the end of the concert ;_; ) and I left as fast as I could, feeling really socially awkward. I'm kinda afraid to see the picture now since I noticed later that my wig was a mess when it was taken
On Sunday, I chose to wear Jack's cosplay again, even though my toes hadn't recovered from Friday. I just put band aids between them and wore my flip flops again. It was hurting but at least it couldn't bleed again. We went to see a panel on how to make better quality cosplays. Some things they said just confirmed what I thought before and some others were pretty useful. They told us it was important to get some professional pictures from time to time... and since my make-up was better that day, I ended up going to the photoshoot boot and asked for one. It was a fun experience
I want to thank all the people who came to me, either to take a picture or just talk. I was really happy to meet new people and see friends again!
See you next year or at Otakuthon
